3 Days Bwindi Safari through Kigali

While you can start a 3 Days gorilla safari from Entebbe to Bwindi, connecting to the destination through Kigali is a great option that saves you from the longer distance of the former. You will arrive in Kigali before noon, transfer to Bwindi, trek gorillas and proceed to Entebbe or return to Kigali for your departure flight.

Detailed itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Kigali and transfer to Bwindi

Given the approximately 3.5 hour transfer from Kigali to Bwindi, it is advisable to consider a morning arrival at Kigali International Airport. When you arrive at Kigali International Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative outside the customs and immigration hall. They will receive you and help with luggage, transfer to the vehicle and drive to Kigali city. Have lunch in Kigali

and transfer to Bwindi’s southern sector for your stay and gorilla trek the next day. 

Dinner and overnight at the lodge, Meal Plan: Lunch and dinner

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking

After an early morning breakfast at the lodge, have your packed lunch and drive to the park offices for a briefing before entering the forest for gorilla trekking. Most of the lodges are located on average 10-minute drive from the park gate. The trek can go up to 2 – 4 hours or even more. In the afternoon, you will return to the lodge and rest.
