This 2 Day tour is the shortest gorilla safari you can do in Rwanda. It is meant to start and end in Kigali, with limited time to spend around the city. You are therefore expected to arrive in Kigali in the morning or afternoon, and on the same day transfer to Musanze to prepare for gorilla trek the next day. Regardless of the small length of the tour, you will come away with great memories to savor and stories to tell.

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Kigali and transfer to Musanze

Upon arrival in Kigali, you will be warmly welcomed and received by our company representative/driver guide. Right away, you will get on the road, and wind through the rolling hills, Musanze town to your lodge. Throughout all the towns, it is calm and beautiful. As the travel will be quite hectic, you will simply check in, have a meal and rest. Later, you will have dinner, enjoy the serenity and the overnight at the lodge.  

Day 2: Gorilla trekking and return to Kigali

Like most mornings for guests in this region intending to visit Volcanoes National Park, it will start early with a yummy breakfast at the lodge. Pick your bags and get on the road to the park offices for gorilla trekking briefing. You will be allocated a gorilla family and park guide who will lead you through the forest when searching for the apes.
